Properties

Properties in the ORKG are the relationships of the knowledge graph. Remember the example of the paper about genome editing in butterflies?

The properties that are present in this example are isAuthorOf, addresses, isImplementedBy, subProblemOf and isEvaluatedWith.

In the ORKG, you can find a list of all properties under View > Properties. You can inspect a property closer by clicking on them:

  1. Here, you can edit the property, e.g. if you want to add more statements.

  2. This is the name of the property and some more metadata, such as the date when it was added to the ORKG and who added it. In this example, the property is also linked to the same entry in Wikidata.

  3. These are the Statements of the Property. Similarly to the contribution data of papers, the statements describe the Property in more detail.

  4. If you click this button, you can see in which triples the property is used.
